3 Bible verses to Strengthen Your Marriage

  • We agree to be faithful to one another when we exchange vows on our wedding day.
  • We declare that we are in front of our loved ones and each other. We are present for everything, good, bad, and ugly.
  • We will always be each other’s friends! We make such a lovely and strong promise of devotion to one another.

To be able to genuinely love one another, we must have Jesus. Let’s look at what the Bible says about keeping true to our marriage and some real-world examples of how we might practice this in our daily life as a couple.

Here are 3 Scriptures about faithfulness:

1. Galatians 5:22-23

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things, there is no law.”

A life shaped by the fruits of the Spirit is what it means for God’s Spirit to be present in us. We can prove that we are Jesus’ disciples by looking at this. These characteristics distinguish us from our surroundings. Being dependable in our marriages, in God, in our commitments, and in our beliefs are examples of this.

2. Proverbs 28:20

“A faithful man will abound with blessings, but whoever hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.”

God is aware of our commitment to leading righteous lives and is not forgetful of it. He says that God would bless our efforts.

When we decide to be devoted to our spouses, God is pleased.

3. 1 Corinthians 10:13

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

We don’t need to rely on our own abilities to be faithful. God is aware that we will experience temptation, that life is difficult, and that the darkness tries to seduce us with the delusion of forbidden pleasure. God gives us comfort while also pointing out that HE IS FAITHFUL.

Because God’s power is at work in our lives, we are able to resist the ordinary temptations that we face in this world. He provides us with the fortitude we require in order to honor our obligations.
